PsychoSpiritual Quadrant

The PsychoSpiritual Quadrant is about the connection between your mind and the elements of your spirit. When we nurture this connection between the two, it influences our body in ways that science is still discovering, but we know to be undeniably powerful.

Starter Tips:

  1. Take Three Deep Breaths: As a child, do you remember being told to take three deep breaths if you felt upset?  Turns out, it does more than we think. Scientists at Stanford University discovered that deep breathing has a direct effect on the overall activity level of the brain. Mark Krasnow, a professor of biochemistry at Stanford said that deep, slow breathing is enough to stop neurons from signaling the arousal center in the brain, which helps with relaxation, being present, and feeling centered.1
  2. Spend Time with People Who Inspire You: According to a famous entrepreneur and leadership expert, Jim Rohn, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. We share energy with people around us and their energy can affect the way we think, feel, and act. The first step to practicing this is to take an honest look at your relationships. While you cannot always choose who you are around (e.g. family, co-workers), you can choose to limit the time you spend with them and how you respond to their energy, words, and actions. On social media, unfollow or snooze friends and pages that don’t support who you are.
